The Sensei Application has been designed to be compatible with Android 7.0 + and Apple IOS 13 +
During testing the were intermittent errors on Apple IOS 12. These errors can be solved by closing the app and relaunching.
If you have an Apple IOS 12 device and want to help us resolve theses issues, you can submit support feedback form noting your device model, operating system and the logical steps to repeat the error.
A school must be a registered school using the Sensei App Software.
The app is designed to manage multiple students across many Sensei App Schools. Just like shopping online at Woolworths or Coles, each store has different products and pricing. Each School is treated as a separate online store.
As a parent you may have students at different schools – Primary School (Junior School) and Secondary School (High School).
To be able to place an order the app needs to connect to the specific school and the students attending that school. Just like login into you account on Woolworths vs login into your account at Coles.
Your payment method is not stored in the application or on our server. Your Payment method is stored securely by the payment gateway Stripe. Your Credit Card details are authenticated by Stripe to each school as separate entities. This is why you will need to select a school before view which Credit Card has been authenticated.
You can make small donation to the School P&C Association with each order. If you would prefer not make the additional donation, this can be turned off in the application profile settings.
When placing a food order for a particular student, the app will recognises if the food contains or may contain allergens for that student. It helps keep your students safe from ordering food that may cause an allergic reaction.
Sensei App is fast becoming a fully integrated system for schools to manage students. The school can access the medical history of the student via the student profile. You can choose not to provide this information to the school by selecting none on the Medical Conditions.
Sensei App has two modes of operation;
MODE 1 – The school can import all the students, teachers, grades and classes. The app will recognise the import and automatically update the student profiles each new class year.
MODE 2 – The school allows open registrations. This means the app does not have the ability to search for official registered student names. At the beginning of each school year the app will prompt you to update the student profiles. You will have to edit each student profile manually and save the changes.
If a student changes school and that school is using the Sensei App Software. The Student profile can be updated to link to the new school.
However, if the student attends a new school that does not use the Sensei App Software – then the app will not work with that school. You can delete the student from the Sensei App. All order history will remain in your parent account, however, you will not be able to place any orders for that student anymore.
The parent email address and mobile number are used to verify the account setup. This is a security measure to confirm you are who you say you are and authenticate your account.
Sensei App will on occasion send you notifications – when orders have been completed or the credit wallet has been used. These notification are sent to your email address.
